При сравнении двух предметов (лиц) можно использовать следующие конструкции: (not) as (прилагательное в положительной степени) as и much + прилагательное в сравнительной степени:
She is as beautiful as her mother. Она такая же красивая, как и её мама. He is not as (so) busy as we are. Он не так занят, как мы. It is much easier to be critical than to be correct. Гораздо легче критиковать, чем избежать ошибок. The situation is much more difficult than it was predicted. Ситуация гораздо сложнее, чем её предсказывали.
Во второй сравнительной конструкции вместо much может быть использовано наречие far: much (far) bigger — гораздо больше; much (far) more important — гораздо важнее.
